I wanted to write a test extension that reads dtmf and then speaks back 
the digit and duration.

1) Should I write a dtmfinfo function for use in the dialplan or try to 
make new channel variables(i.e. DTMFDURATION) available?

2) If I use channel variables are they updated immediately? Would a 
Read(junk,1) followed by a SayDigits(${DTMFDURATION}) actually give the 
duration of the latest keypress?
