[Asterisk-Dev] Getting symbols from asterisk modules into gdb

Invoking asterisk under gdb (or attaching separately), I find that symbols
aren't available for loaded modules (particularly the one I'm trying to
work on, chan_sip.so).

gdb's add-symbol-file directive requires the .text location for the module
in question, which I don't know how to retrieve. Would anyone happen to
have any gdb macros or scripts for use with debugging Asterisk -- or just
a pointer or two?
