SIPp (http://sipp.sourceforge.net/) is worth a look.  It is set up for
performance testing, but you can use it for one call at a time.  The
big advantage that I think it has is that you can define simple scenarios
in XML for it to execute.  This includes specifying the exact contents
of the messages and responses.
