There was some discussion a while back about how to support such text 
functions.  I believe Mark's comment was that the best solution whould 
be to create "shadow functions" for key dialplan commands (dial, meetme, 
etc.) to do functional equivalents for instant messanging applications. 
This is one of those projects that probably wouldn't be so much 
difficult as time consuming--the perfect project for a bounty!
