Yes, I see this too.  Can you verify or disclaim that there's a frame leak by 
executing "iax2 show stats" periodically?

I find that reload does work to clear the frame stats but as far as audio 
degredation... it comes and goes for me... it'll get bad and then suddenly 
get perfectly clear again.
