Apparently the patch is against the stable branch.  It will not work against
CVS head.  There appears to be many changes to the iax peer and user
structures.  I assume this is part of asterisk realtime.  The patch will
require changes to work against cvs head.

I am more than happy to share it.  I am not a developer and therefore have
not submitted anything before.  I have to look into how to do it.  I have
considered posting it on the wiki, but have not figured out how to do it
yet.  

I am interested in getting it included in future releases, that makes my
life easier.  But it is up to others whether it gets included or not.

Don't suppose you're going to submit the patch so the rest of us can do 
it and so you wont have to maintain a patch...
