I think that "unfeasible" isn't the right word.  Maybe "unreliable" is 
better.

G.711 will sometimes often work, depending on the network 
environments.  Small LANs tend to be okay, but running it over larger, 
more "jitter-prone" LANs and WANs (internet) is usually not 
functional.  And in the functional cases, if ever a situation arises (a 
lot of network activity) where the environment changes temporarily for 
the worse, then faxing success will also change.
