Taking as an example Aurora ISDN PRI tester the cool thing about it is
that you dont need to do pass-through, cause you attach it in parallel
to existing/working connection and it sniffs the signalls and allows
you to see every channel in detailes where there is it voice or
signalling channel. But for that i think different zaptel card design
would be needed
