[Asterisk-Dev] cvs [server aborted]: could not find desired version ...

Has anyone else noticed cvs update failing with a message like:

cvs [server aborted]: could not find desired version 1.44 in
/usr/cvsroot/asterisk/apps/app_meetme.c,v

I guess that the intermediate versions could have been eliminated, but I'm
not sure that's the case or something else might be causing it.
