Hate to use that stupid expression, but here's an "outside the box" 
thought regarding paging solution within an office environment.

Offices are notorious for their failure to transmit radio signals, so 
you see all kinds of crazy contraptions used to enhance radio & TV 
signals.

I bet you could install an * system with speakers & radio/TV feeds to 
all offices for less than the price of a non-* system that offers 
paging.  Just a thought.  Perhaps I should head over to Taco Bell since 
I'm thinking outside the bun, box or whatever.
