[Asterisk-Dev] Asterisk can't handle 407 for BYE

I have this scenario: Asterisk is registered with a SIP proxy and when an incoming call from the SIP proxy reached an extension on Asterisk, everything seems OK, i.e call established. The problem is that when the phone on Asterisk hangs up first, Asterisk sends the BYE to the sip proxy and proxy will try to authenticate the BYE message and send a 407 back and it seems Asterisk doesn't know how to handle this 407. The phone on the proxy still shows "connected". Is this a known issue? Thanks,
