[Asterisk-Dev] Hangup detection using ATA186/Vonage for "backhaul?"

I have a number of X100Ps that are interfaced to a variety of telco 
ports, and also to a number of ports on ATA186s that are under Vonage 
service.

I just got to wondering: do the ATAs not send disconnect notification at 
the hardware level like a POTS line is "supposed" to do?

The only way I can detect hangup on these units is via busydetect, which 
appears to be prone to "false positives" which cause calls to be dropped.
