I didn't.  Gentoo has a continuous tinderbox that runs and picks up on these kind of things as part of the hardening sub-project.  As maintainer of asterisk on Gentoo they filed a bug against me, once I figured out what was going on the fix was relatively simple.  Figured I'd push it here rather than keep it Gentoo side.
