Ah, I see. Yes, they are the only variables that are read-only in a "hard" sense, but in a soft sense, lots of modules have variables they set that it might not intend the user to set, really (or the opposite, variables that the user is supposed to set, that it reads and doesn't write).The user might not know this and successfully overwrite something, and should probably be warned about that.

Also, those variables are already in the XML documentation, if you look at the wiki pages for func_channel and func_sys, I believe.
