We don't want to introduce queue_log changes into release branches (13 or 14), most particularly without tests.  app_queue in general is an area that has a lack of test coverage, making any changes more concerning.  *So* sorry Martin, this just has bitten us too many times in the past.  The master branch change version should be ok.
