Patch Set 1:

As an update, I re-tested this locally, and it did work.

* Copied menuselect.makeopts to ~/.asterisk.makeopts
* Changed some settings in ~/.asterisk.makeopts
* Removed menuselect.makeopts
* Ran make menuselect, verified removed options were removed
* Ran make, verified asterisk built appropriately

Note sure what happened previously.

I'd prefer someone else to +1/+2 this, just in case I was wrong.
