AT&T loses its ability to wage other legal battles, and filing fees, a small price to pay when millions of dollars are on the line (based on the lawsuits against AT&T for actual damages to date).

services may be barred but Free Conference etc I assume have their servers located
in Iowa so are therefore entitled to the termination settlement fees.</span></font></p></div></div></blockquote><div><br>They are, however the call forwarding services are based on the readyline ruling which was a *carrier* switch not an end user (ie non carrier customer). So that is questionable.
<br><br>Its an illegal tactic, AT&T is likely to be fined (yet again) for doing illegal things. Anything you can possibly come up with that is shady in the phone industry has already been done by companies with far more experience and money than anyone on this list.
