As a follow up, Voipjet has returned the money via the Paypal resolution process. No worries here. It's probably as Steve says, sloppy password use. Paypal gets high marks for flagging the transaction.<br><br><div><span class="gmail_quote">

boom he sets up an account to receive money and tries all the accounts in the
VoipJet database on PayPal through a proxy. </span></font></p>

worth, I came home today after being in the hospital for 4 days and found
Paypal had closed down my account because of a suspicious transaction for $250.<br>

It was marked Voipjet. So, it's certainly not just Kim that has had this
happen. Whether or not it's really Voipjet or someone posing as Voipjet
remains to be seen. <br>

I'm not posting this to corroborate Kim's experience. Rather, I want
people knowing there may be an issue with scammers posing as ITSPs.<br>

Paypal does have a "preapproved vendor" type of thing but the account<br>
holder has to approve that. It would be used for automatically paying <br>
things like a monthly hosting fee. Voipjet does not use that method. I<br>
went most of the way through the "prepay $250" procedure on my
voipjet<br>
account to be sure of that before responding to the OP.<br>

Also note that you can login to paypal and cancel a preapproved vendor<br>
arrangement anytime before they take more money. It's not like giving<br>
someone a credit card and then they "accidentally" charge you again <br>
after you cancel service.<br>
