Well it must be your setup because I have used the three phones you mention and each one pretty much worked out of the box with no issues, no problems with NAT. The GXP-2000's aren't that bad, their provisioning is pretty straightforward audio quality seems fine, unlike many phones you can customize the idle display, has a backlight graphic lcd, has built in BLF buttons only complaint is it feels lightweight.

You really should know what you are talking about before you start
critizing Grandstream I have installed the GXP 2000 with great success
I have compared this phone with the Aastra 480i and the Polycom 501
The Aastra480i has a large but poor display and I could never get it to
recieve calls, the Polycom is even worse I could not get this phone to
work at all due to it's very poor NAT capabilities both thes phones cost
much more than the Grandstream if they were as good I would probably use
them. As for Trixbox well I use FreePBX and although it isn't perfect it
works well for all the standard business features.

Henry L.Coleman CEO
*VoIP-PBX* 1-866-415-5355
Toronto Ontario
Canada

> Trixbox on and Grandstream??? Are you kidding? Or maybe you're talking
> about single office 2-3 phones setup. I've seen people crying over it
> once there was no way back. But I also know that there are people
> installing these systems as well, telling (lying) to the customers that
> it'll work perfect, and then disappearing once they've got their money,
> (sometimes at twice the original price).
>
> I can agree on fine tuning Trixbox, but not on a home PC and not for
> Grandstreams. I agree with shadowym, it has to be supermicro and Aastra
> at least. For serious installations, Trixbox is not the solution.
