In fact, it appears that the London city government takes the view that
a minimum living wage is GBP 8.55, which works out to around GBP17200 in
view of the formula 8.55 * 168 * 12.
And, someone earning that much would presumably keep more of it than
someone earning 30k due to progressive tax structure.
So, this is a position demanding advanced, specialised OSS IP telephony
skills while offering ~75% more than minimum wage, and considerably less
in take-home terms.
