That could be, we are in a metal quansit hut and they are not supposed to take them outside. I have never spent the time because it doesn't happen often, I will check the firmware and get back to you but I did just update all the phones about a month ago. They do work great for the purpose we use them though. The sales people roam a lot and can take calls through the building.

Ok thanks, it sounds like the DECT side is a bit weak when going in/out
of coverage areas. That could be a problem since the point is to walk
around with it. It should handle it as well as a GSM phone since the
two specs are nearly the same in that regard (ETSI cited the GSM spec
many times when drafting the DECT spec). Maybe its just weak firmware,
do you know which version you are running?

Thanks, did you return them? Did the replacements work? Were they
purchased at the same time (or if you know did they have similar
serials?) I am wondering if this was a bad batch and they have
corrected that or if its something else. Most of these phone
manufacturers dont actually make the phones they farm that out to
whomever is cheaper, and sometimes the lowest bidder cuts corners
resulting in problems like cold solder joints to just really bad
fabrication. Yes the QA people at SNOM (or whomever) should have tested
that but ya know, stuff happens.
