What about the ancillary configuration options - which can number in the
hundreds - some of which are required for real functionality in most
circumstances (server address comes to mind as important; phone display
label would be nice)? There seems little point in doing this unless you
can generate configurations with all that stuff. And wouldn't you want
the configuration data to be shared/exported/transmogrified
appropriately for the complementary network/PBX that the phones would be
attached to/used with?
The concept is simple, but the implementation is not, and could go on
forever. So how does the service you are seeking fit into your plans?
Are you looking for some model code to serve as a basis for your future
development?
