On some OS's multiple threads can read from the same UDP port.
These threads can be spread over multiple processors.
I heard this from one of the Sun guys, so I'm assuming that
this works in Solaris. From what I remember it doesnt in Linux 2.6,
but that's not to say it never would.

It has its place, and that issue is fine for a soho pbx they shouldnt
ever get to the point where bottle necking is a problem, its the carrier
side of things that tends to have issues because of that.
