All the standalone WiFi phones I have used are crap, and all the ones I have
wanted to use others have told me are crap.
However, I've never heard bad things about SpectraLink products....

So to handle a waiting queue of 15 to 20 people with the possibility of
queued people to listen to current conversation over an overtaxed phone
number what would be the cheapest solution ?
Thanks again

Hi you can accomplish all you need at a lower cost by using a SIP provider.
The only downside is that the more simulatanious users you have the more
bandwidth you will need. A high speed broadband or DSL can handle about 12
calls any more than this and you will need another Cable or DSL
connection and "load share" or if you have big plans for 40+ callers then
you should have your system "hosted" by an ITSP
Note: if you plan on having your system hosted in the future then it would
be wise to purchase a U1 or U2 rack mount unit as this will plug straight
into your ITSP's facilities
