[asterisk-biz] December Specials

Some providers are a wholesale provider. Their business is engineered around selling to people that move hundreds of thousands or millions of minutes a month. That's not a TrixBox installation.
I am still building my own business, but I plan to sell into many different markets. I will have to engineer my business towards these on the various markets.
There are indeed two kinds of use, perhaps I labeled them wrong. Wholesale and retail. A wholesale operator sells DIDs, minutes, channels, etc. A retail operator sells packages. A wholesale user says give me an account, perform interoperability tests, goes live, and doesn't bother support. A retail user requires much more handholding, thus needs to be priced higher.
Yes, SellVoip made a mistake and they need to resolve this. However, the user needs to select the appropriate provider and conduct their due diligence before selecting their provider.

You are sadly mistaken. Trixbox user does not equal "hobbyist". There are plenty of people using Trixbox in production environments. Why should they deserve less quality/service from vendors? I use AAH/TB internally at three different locations. It does everything I want it to do and more. I know we run over 4,000 minutes a month out of this office. Granted, it is not Fortune 500 size, but it is not "hobbyist" either.
Why only two categories of users, wholesale and hobbyist? There are alot of people who I would consider fall between those two categories. (Like the kind of people who you sell VoIP service to http://www.ics-il.com/voip.php.) So, would you knowlingly not sell service to someone because they were using TB?
Whether they should have marketed directly to TB users or not is irrelevant, the fact is they did.

They probably shouldn't have marketed to such a user, but alas everyone makes mistakes. One could only hope that they stayed more focused on the wholesale user than the hobbyist.

Sounds like you need to get your act together first before you start offering specials to get new victims, err customers.
