[Asterisk-biz] 911 discussion re-run

Short question about 911 regulations:
What do you do if your customers do not have a real US phone number?
My customers have a user ID and a, let say Spain DID. They are allowed to
call-out any US phone number, but they do not get incoming calls directly
from US. They can be called from US only using their Spain DID (011...).
Any comments?
Thank you.

you have the option of doing it in-house with your own infrastructure.
Much more expensive option but it's doable
I look at this as an entry level solution to keep in line with a failed
fcc policy (I still think powell was on the take from the telcos)

While their idea is good.. I feel slightly uneasy letting my 9-1-1

I'd like to re-open the 911 discussion. I know it's been discussed
before, but not conclusively as far as I can see.
Does anyone know exactly what are the 911 obligations on providers
offering VoIP services to residential and small business users in the
USA?
We'd like to make sure our ITSP in a box product complies before the
