I think it's called a NASC import, it usually takes about 2 days and there
is usually a charge of around $30 for administrative fees (the carrier may
or may not pass this charge on to the customer).

There's the option to force or "snatch" an 800 from an old carrier at the
SMS level.
I'm not sure what the price was under the new tariff.  I got a copy the
other day and have not read it.

I remember something about $62.00.

Herman (et. al.),

Theoretically, it's possible... but it depends on a variety of factors
including who they bought service from, etc.  If they are behind on their
payments to their service provider, the odds of the provider releasing the #
for you aren't great.

BinFone doesn't have great rates on toll free, but we do have experience
porting toll-free numbers & would be glad to try if you'd like.
