The problem that you speak about can be solved very easy with proper
software and control of your systems.  The problem is most of you are using
Asterisk as if you were a telephone company and you have never taken the
time to write the correct software for your protection.

Just for curiosity, isn't there a limit on the tariffs one can charge
for termination? at least in the US?
