Thanks for the comments. We're planning to replace our PMS as well, right
now we haven't decided yet, that's why I'm also asking here just in case
anybody aware any PMS that support Asterisk. I know it won't be easy to
accommodate all of PMS-PBX features, but I think it's doable. Asterisk has
features that most PMS-PBX interface provide:
- Call Accounting
- Voice Message
- Wake Up Call
- Call Restrictions
- Housekeeping: I think it's possible to send the messages to the interface
to update room status using AGI, etc?.
Here's one of the specs I've found: http://www.autoclerk.com/speccall.html.
It's basically saying that this particular PMS supports HOLIDEX protocol
with HOBIC call record format (using serial interface - most of them are
using serial interface anyway), I don't know if any other PMSs support this
protocol.
There is probably a market potential for PMS-Asterisk interface, I wish I
could develop one.... though, I wouldn't mind to support a project/make
donation if anyone ever interested.
