RADIUS is an evil protocol for VoIP.  Don't let anyone fool you, it is 
not required or even desired in a VoIP situation.

Modems and wireless devices, absolutely... VoIP, never.

app_radius hinders the power of Asterisk. Use what is already there and 
write your own billing interface without the unnecessary complexity of 
RADIUS, you will thank me later.
