Honestly I just dislike the idea of having no indication of what
something costs. Even if it's the price ceiling (end user price) I'd
like to get an idea of what I might end up spending.
This really all stems from having bad experience with places not
responding to e-mail/voicemail about pricing. I've waited days (and
sometimes weeks) for prices on equipment only to find out that the
vendor was way overpriced.
With commodity hardware/software I think there should always be a MSRP
up on the site no matter how far off it is from the wholesale price.
Custom hardware/software is something different though.
