[asterisknow] Can the GUI configure everything?

Hi,

We are investigating using Asterisk to replace the Mitel voip solution we
have here in the office. I've been impressed so far with asterisk, but I was
wondering how far can you configure the asterisk server with the GUI
supplied in AsteriskNOW.

I'm getting the impression that I will have to start hacking the config
files by hand to accomplish what this office requires.

So my questions are:
1) Do others start using the GUI then migrate to hacking the config files by
hand?
2) If you change the config files by hand, does it confuse the GUI ?
3) Is changing  the files by hand the best approach to take once comfortable
with the layout of the file structure?
