<h2><a name="AstriDevCon-AstriDevCon2012"></a>AstriDevCon 2012</h2>
<p>Digium invites developers who are interested in the future of Asterisk to join us at AstriDevCon.</p>
<p>AstriDevCon is an annual event, held alongside AstriCon - it includes an in-depth review of progress made in the past year and an open discussion about the future direction of the project. The event is free and open for any active Asterisk community developer to apply. It's a great opportunity to meet the core development team in person, pitch ideas for new features and functions and coordinate efforts with others.</p>
<p>Capacity for this event is limited. Preference will be made for those who are active in and currently take part in the Asterisk development community by contributing, reviewing, testing and so forth. Otherwise it's first come first serve, so apply for registration soon.</p>

<p>AstriDevCon will be held at The Sheraton Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, US. The same location as <a href="http://www.astricon.net" class="external-link" rel="nofollow">AstriCon</a> , but the Monday before.</p>

<p>Room within the Sheraton: "Atlanta 1 & 2", level 1. You'll enter the hotel on level 2 and you'll find the DevCon room on level 1. There will be a sign in the hallway.</p>
<h3><a name="AstriDevCon-HowdoIapplyforregistration%3F"></a>How do I apply for registration?</h3>
<p>Fill out the <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFhLazFNZ05kZWxFXzJlOFpDeGRTWnc6MQ" class="external-link" rel="nofollow">registration form</a> and we'll E-mail you if your registration is accepted. We'll make acceptance decisions no later than September 10th, 2012, and registrations requests made after that are subject to being discarded.</p>
<h3><a name="AstriDevCon-WhatshouldIbring%3F"></a>What should I bring?</h3>
<p><a href="http://www.bluehost.com/" class="external-link" rel="nofollow">Bluehost</a> is sponsoring the lunch break and will provide box lunches and beverages for attendees. You may want to bring some extra snacks for the morning or evening.</p>
<p>A projector and screen should be located in the room, plus whiteboard and markers.</p>
<p>A computing device with its power adapter, maybe an extension cord to be safe.</p>

<p>New this year is a listen-only conference bridge that will be accessible by SIP and IAX2 using VoIP or as an audio stream using VLC. As this will be listen-only we invite you to join the #astridevcon IRC channel on chat.freenode.net during the conference to participate in a real time manner. We will make as much effort as we can to make sure your opinions and comments are heard by everyone.</p>
