I am using Red-Fone device on ETHMF :)
And this hardware has Echo Cancellation on Board, but I am not sure if  
that should have any affect on this entire model, since all the  
ethernet packets land in as a normal call coming in via DAHDI / Zaptel

Also I saw in logs some where,

Echo cancellation isn't required on digital connection
