[Asterisk-video] H264 and Grandstream

Hi Atle,
If you need H.263 then ffasterisk and gstreamer can create files in
Asterisk format.
I've only tried gstreamer and I find I have to post process the files
to get it to adhere to a reasonable packet size and delivery schedule.
There should be lots of discussion about both projects in the archives
of this mailing list.
I can't advise you on ffmpeg and x264 support for asterisk file
formats, we gave up trying to use opensource h264 encoders and used our
own in the end... If you're looking for something to test with then we
have some test sequences that should work well for Grandstream on our
website http://www.aupix.com/support/astvideo.htm

Hi John Martin,
That's the reason *stupid* but ok.. Do you know if that's the same
truuth to H263 ? And if it is.. Maybe we should talk to ffmpeg / x264
people to make them add support for this in their software?
