[Asterisk-video] Videomixing in MeetMe

Hi Lorenzo,

I figured out the problem about Asterisk disconnecting the clients. My
client wasn’t aware of BCFP, so after removing the B-switch in MeetMe it
worked as it should.

Now i'm down to two problems. The first is about codecs, since my Sony
videoconferencing equipment insists on using H.263 CIF which ends up in a
very blurred and mosaic-like picture. The next problem is delay, which I
don’t know is caused by the wrong videocodecs? Movements on the camera is
shown on the participants several seconds later.

I found a old link you posted to a version 0.2 beta of the videomixer, but
its invalid. Any particular reason for not publishing that version? I'm
working on a project in Greenland including 50-some locations across a
network of 3 different Asterisk servers in all major cities, and
videoconferencing in MeetMe is a must. I'm willing to contribute financially
to your solution to show my interest.

Best regards
Pauli

Hi Pauli,

thanks for your interest, it's very appreciated.

About your problem, it looks like Asterisk fails at connecting to the mixer
on
startup, and so disables its functionality. Can you check in the rest of the
verbose startup output if there are any messages related to the mixer? All
is
done in another thread and so it could appear while other modules are being
loaded. Besides, check with 'xcon info' console command if there's any other
info.

You might try setting the mcu_ip to your local ip instead of 127.0.0.1 and
see
if it helps. However, I can't see any information about the parsing of the
mcu-related lines on startup: so it appears they are not being read at all.

Keep me updated, regards,
Lorenzo
