Hi,<br>
<br>
I am experiencing a similar issue on my FXO DAHDI lines with proper
call supervision supposedly set up. The problem described below
does not happen 100% of the times, but still several times a day.
Scenario seems to be similar to the one the original poster
described, i.e. a caller hangs up in the middle of the IVR
announcement.<br>
<br>
In my case the message is exactly 45 seconds. It contains a
repeating <font face="Arial" size="3">ROH (receiver
off-hook) tones. </font>Following is a sample of the
notification e-mail.<br>

Dial *98 to access your voicemail by phone.
Visit <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://172.17.137.11/recordings/index.php">http://172.17.200.23/recordings/index.php</a> to check your voicemail with a web browser.</pre>

<br>
According to CDR the call started at 13:50:18 and lasted 3 minutes
and 10 seconds.<br>
<br>
I have experienced the similar behavior with three (3) different
Telco's. This example presents AT&T call processing. They drop
the battery. Other companies I use do the Polarity Reversal.<br>
<br>
If a call is processed normally I do not see either a battery drop
or a polarity reversal in the log. Start OnHookTrans is also not
present.<br>
<br>
I did try "<i>hanguponpolarityswitch</i>" with no luck. I did not
try "<i>busydetect=yes</i>" as it is known to be prone to false
positives resulting in unwanted disconnects.<br>
<br>
Hope that helps.<br>

Subject: [asterisk-users] asterisk 1.8.13.1 -- how to limit voicemail
emailswhen the caller hangs up before they leave a message?
Hello,
I use asterisk with an SPA3102 (latest F/W).
I have my asterisk 1.8.13.1 voicemail.conf setup as follows:
; Limit the minimum message length to 3 seconds minsecs = 3
This works perfectly, however, when the caller hangs up before the beep
(or during it?) then I get 1 minute and 22 seconds of (3-5 sec of
dialtone, then saying to dial the operator)).
How do I avoid getting this? If a message is not left, I do not wish to
receive any e-mail/attachments like this, are there any workarounds?
I assume this may be related to the SPA3102 but am curious to learn how
others deal with this problem/if they have this issue.
