Maybe this will help you: Search for "Asterisk timing", consider to not<br>
run Asterisk in a virtual environment, and do not run X on the same box.<br>
Makre sure to turn off silence suppression in your SIP client(s).<br>
<br>
Search for "choppy audio".<br>
Check if earlier Asterisk versions behave better.<br>
