When I did 'make menuselect' in 3. channel drivers, I selected [*] chan dahdi...<BR>

But the only thing I have of dahdi is chan_dahdi.conf...<BR>

The system configuration file has moved from /etc/zaptel.conf to <B>/etc/dahdi/system.conf</B>.<BR>

I don't have this file... I don't have a directory named /etc/dahdi.<BR>

The only thing I have is chan_dahdi.conf, replacing in my case zapata.conf.<BR>
<BR>
I do not have the tools dahdi_cfg and dahdi_tool installed...<BR>

If you built Asterisk with DAHDI support . Should still work on 1.4.x ,
for x>= 22 .
