Almost forgot, you need to make sure you bind each instance to either it's own IP address or different ports on the same ip, i used 2 IP's for it and never hda a problem.

2009/2/24 Geraint Lee <geraint@gmail.com>

I had to change astrundir (in asterisk.conf) as well.

One thing to watch out for is that if you run make samples it will overwrite the ones stored in /etc/asterisk and not where you'd expect them to be in /usr/local/asterisk2/etc/asterisk (or at least it di dwhen i did it!).

and for a helping hand i symlinked /usr/local/asterisk2/sbin/asterisk to /usr/local/sbin/asterisk2 and /usr/local/asterisk2/sbin/safe_asterisk to /usr/local/sbin/safe_asterisk2

Cheers

Geraint

You will also need to look at asterisk.conf in the new installation directory and as a quickfix to get it running, use a different location for astrundir
