The client's processor charges 7c/transaction over IP (plus normal<BR>
charges), so they are quite keen to keep it working the way it was before<BR>
I replaced their PBX ;)<BR>

As a followup, *99 prepended on any Linksys ATA does indeed make a<BR>
difference in modem reliability. Both their CCs and their ADT alarm<BR>
devices now function reliably. I also reduced the CC baud rate to 300<BR>
baud (!), and it is rock solid now!<BR>
