So you are saying if the Telco doesn't block CNAM.. if I call another PRI user the name will show up even though technically a dip should have been done? Or is this ONLY if it stays within the same telco?<br><br><div>

Zeeshan, I don't think it has much to do with blocking, but more with<br>how the name is passed from the POTS provider to the POTS<br>sucbscribers, which is done by doing a CNAM against the CIDnumber<br>received, and the CIDName recieved although present is not used at all
<br>by the POTS provider. From PRI to PRI that doesn't have CIDName<br>service on it, you could get the CIDName as set by the outbound PRI,<br>if the provider doesnt' block it, and I have seen that with at least<br>
