The other thing to note is that I have not restarted asterisk all
morning, but it's been pumping this out every 60 seconds or so.....<br>

Normal behavior.
Basically whenever something registers, asterisk records the info into
astdb. If you restart asterisk, asterisk will reload back into memory what
is stored in astdb.
