[Asterisk-Users] Re: Wireless IP phone for *PBX<BR><BR></FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Cisco have announced a combined h.323/802.11b +
GSM phone. about $600 (that's each, not per 20-pack as one might
imagine.. :-0)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>KIRK telekom have a DECT > H.323 gateway,
where you can use standard DECT phones as H.323 extensions.. they only support
H.323 + Cisco Skinny Protocol though... they don't have SIP planned yet, but
"it's a possibility". This is in Europe, I believe DECT is different in
the US.<BR><A href="http://www.kirk.dk">http://www.kirk.dk</A> (they're
Danish)</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Innovaphone also have some DECT > H.323
gateways planned.. but they've been 'planned' for around a year and a
half now.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Artem (German 802.11b stuff maker) prototyped a
self-contained DECT > H.323 gateway box (not sure about SIP in this one),
which should be out soon <BR><A
href="http://www.artem.de">http://www.artem.de</A> (although you won't find
any info there... you should send them an E-mail).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Small Print:<BR>All this info (except Cisco) is
valid for Europe... most of these manufacturers are European, so their
equipment might not work/not allowed where you are.... unless you're in
Europe.</FONT></DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>
<DIV><BR>If you find some good stuff let me know cos I've been searching for a
good IP (preferably DECT or 802.11b) wireless phone for some years now.</DIV>
