 Did you already check Bria? I have not tested it yet but it seems to be very powerful.
Unfortunately there is no trial version available.

If you will give it a try I would be very interested in your opinion.

Great suggestion but unfortunately for this client a proven technology is needed and we don't mind paying a bit for it so once the time is available we might do this the way you suggested.

Which paid or unpaid commercial plugin is available out there forAsterisk that would do Outlook contacts pop-up that is proven to work greatwith MS Outlook 2007 and Asterisk 1.6. It would be a bonus to do Dialout aswell through the Outlook.

Not specifically what you are looking for,but it is very simple to use Apache/Ajax to make AMI links to launch calls fromanywhere.  I would invest 30-240 minutes into this method before bothering withthe other stuff that is out there.  Also, will make it easier when youeventually jump to 1.8/1.10.
