Terminal must be at least 80x21

You need a terminal window that handles at least 80 characters per row and 21 lines to run menuselect. If you have that, check your TERM settings in the terminal and test with something that works, here's a few examples:

export TERM=ansi
export TERM=vt100
export TERM=xterm
