Well, that's one way, but you have to be careful, because the CLI output is in most cases adapted to a screen, which means that values are cut off to fit on a line. Using proper manager commands, you make sure that you get the full data, not something that is stripped to a certain amount of characters in order to make a nice output list on the screen.
