If you're still unable to see the report lines you may way to set up the 
display_errors flag in

/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

Note that the location of this may differ depending on your linux 
distribution.

Set it to E_ALL and then restart apache - that way you'll see if you get 
any errors - also check the apache logs.
