Then, as I suspected, I'm failing.

I need to confirm that it's actually provisioned with the carrier, and
which switchtype I'm really on.

Can *you* confirm, off hand, that 1.2 would do TBCT at *all*?  Someone on
IRC thinks it wouldn't.
