Hi,

fax gateway isn't just a packet bridging.
It does the mediation between T30 (voice) <-> T38 (fax over ip) protocols.
It does work for asterisk 1.4, asterisk 1.6, asterisk svn head.
If it doesn't please send me a bug report and I'm going to fix it.
